Omega Zeta Kappa 10: τ

Late into the morning, at a time "responsible" people with "things to do" were already thinking about what they should have for lunch, Corbin sat up in his bed, stretched, and yawned loudly: "Huuwwaaah." He sniffed, pulled his feet around to the side of the bed, and took a sip of water. None of this noise would bother his roommate, who of course had been up and out the door hours ago—he always was. Corbin was medium-tall, a little overweight—not ugly particularly, but nothing special to look at either. He didn't really care one way or the other, as long as he was healthy enough to eat good food and not get a heart attack or whatever.

After an extremely abbreviated wake-up shower and getting into something decent enough to wander the halls of the fraternity dorm, his next concern was some decent food for breakfast to make his stomach quit complaining. He went out into the halls to find a lot of noise and confusion, and just sort of half-sleepily floated through it all toward the kitchen. OZK was always up to something, and he could pretty much always deal with it later. It wasn't that he didn't notice the unusual population of young adult females wandering around the building, it was just that he didn't want to use up energy caring about it—the what or the why.

This attitude got him most of the way to breakfast, until two of those females in particular were very insistent about getting his attention. They looked like they were cosplaying, though he didn't know as what—one of them obviously an actual werewolf. "Corbin! You want some?" That one, in a ridiculous full-out maid getup, offered him a small bottle of some..extremely suspect substance.
"Some what. And, who are you?" he said with a tired, casual annoyance.
"Duude, I'm Sid."
"Quaid, here," the other one interjected. He looked between the two of them.
"...'Kaaay." Knowing those two total weirdos, Corbin provisionally accepted this much as fact. "So you're selling drugs now?"
"Th-...this isn't drugs!" 'Sid' said, folding her ears back in shock.
"They're potions," 'Quaid' agreed with her. "And we're not selling them!"
"So you're giving out magic drugs, then. Why?" Corbin asked, interrupting any further objections.

"Wh—do you not read the group text?"
"Or, like, have eyes?" Quaid said.
"Look: I just woke up, and unlike some people, I'm not chained to a machine nonstop," he said. "Also, I'm very hungry, and you're in the way."
"Okay, fine. The short version is: The high coucil decided we're a sorority now," Quaid explained with all the patience she could muster. "And they're offering anyone who wants it this stuff to help..'match that'. Got it?"
"Uh-huh.."
"And anyone who's still male by next Saturday has to leave," Sid continued. "So: Do you want some now, or later?"
"...Or never, and go live with the normies again?"

Corbin did some quick mental calculations. These guys...girls now, were always kind of a pain to deal with when they wanted something. The easiest thing was to give it to them, if it wasn't too much trouble. That, plus he wanted to stay in his nice room with a kindred-spirit roommate for the rest of his college years, with ample decent-to-good food provided by some relatively minor fees, and the game room with its comfy seating in easy walking distance. Minus: A tiny amount—who actually cared if he was a girl for a while? "Fine," he said, shrugging after less than a second. "Gimme. I'll take it after breakfast or whatever."

"'Or whatever', he says," Quaid said.
"Here...you're no fun at all, you know that?" Sid said, offering him the bottle again, which he took from her this time.
"Yeah, well—it's on purpose so you'll go bug someone else."
"Well, I hope you enjoy womanhood anyway!" Quaid said as he walked off, sounding like she thought she was being magnanimous.

He actually waited until he was completely done eating, and had had some sips of water to wash the taste of breakfast entirely out of his mouth—not wanting whatever bizarre flavor the glowing female-making potion might have to ruin his impression of orange juice by association. He opened the cap and took a few small sniffs; it smelled kind of like seafood, he thought. And, drinking it down, he experienced in liquid form the flavor of a salmon fillet or something, which proved a fairly uncomfortable gustatory experience. He washed it down with water as fast as he could to prevent this from ruining seafood for him, too.

After this, he waited, sitting at the table in the kitchen's adjoining dining room and tapping his foot impatiently. After a few minutes he shrugged, stood up to put things away, and carried the empty bottle back to the weirdos. "Hey, I drank this, but nothing happened," he said. "You give me a dud or something?"
"Wh—no!" Sid said
"You still haven't read the text, have you?" Quaid asked.
"I haven't been by my room. Where my phone is," he said semi-patiently.
"It takes up to twenty-four hours to start, then does its work fast," she said helpfully.
"Very fast," Sid added.
"Hmmnh. Okay then," he said. "Well, if you need me, I'll be in the game room. Do me a favor and try not to need me, though."
"Hey, who's 'chained to technology' now, huh?" Sid called after him—as he was already walking away.

Corbin actually did go back to his room and check his phone—scrolling through tons of posts in the group text he'd blocked notifications from long ago to finally dig up Rich's original announcement. It confirmed the wolf-girls' story—at least as far as Richard could be relied on as an information source, anyway. Then he took the phone and his Switch out to the game room as planned.

If there was one good thing about all of this, it seemed many of the..now-sorority's other members who might have taken up space in the game room were too busy freaking out or doing something else related to newly or impendingly being girls. Darren and Mylar (still male, Corbin noticed) were around, but there was plenty of open space for him to take the community dock hooked up to a big screen and play his game with a proper controller—instead of in the eventually-painful, handheld manner. Maybe the world had been turned upside-down for a lot of people in the building, but Corbin's agenda was still exactly the same as when he finished the last of his homework and went to bed the night before.

The game of the day—the week, really, he'd bought it Friday before last—was a metroidvania with a catgirl protagonist. She was cute and all, but kept doing weird things like meowing. Well—sure, there were plenty of people who thought that was cute too, but with the existence of actual cat people, not to mention dog, wolf, fox, and whatever other kind of animal people there were...was it kind of insulting, Corbin wondered? On the other hand, it seemed like a lot of those people, like the two weirdos, acted a little like their respective animals for real.
He couldn't imagine that they were actually, physically compelled to do things like purr when happy, or yip when startled, or whatever—maybe it was some kind of cultural thing. Like, they saw their parents doing it and their animal-eared friends doing it and just thought it was normal, and so it was? Maybe, for some of them at least, it was a 'respecting La Lune' thing, showing off an affected 'wild side' to show they were still connected with nature and stuff. Well—it wasn't like Corbin was in any position to judge for sure, and he hadn't actually heard Mylar complain or even seen him roll his eyes when a stereotypical catgirl went 'nya'.

Speaking of that guy—at some point, Corbin's musings and focus on his game were semi-interrupted as Mylar suddenly got up and ran to the bathroom...and then again as a very short, curvy catgirl came back out. Well—that was evidence that this was all for real, if anything else. And Darren was predictably freaking out, and predictably couldn't keep his eyes off her boobs, until Mylar finally left for lunch. Then Darren kind of glanced in Corbin's direction as he got up and left to eat a late lunch, too, leaving him alone in the game room. Darren was cool like that—seeing when Corbin was into a game and not feeling compelled to bother him. Mylar also didn't bug him the whole time, but this was more a product of him, then her, not paying any attention to him at all—he just wasn't part of what Mylar was thinking about right now—and he could both respect and agree with that attitude, too.

This left him alone in the game room, still too close to his ultra-late breakfast to be hungry for lunch. That was fine—playing a game alone, on a comfy couch or chair, was the very definition of Corbin's happy place. Not that he didn't enjoy playing with other people sometimes, but there was something special, nostalgic even, when he could reduce his experience of the entire world down to himself, a controller, and the screen.

An hour or so of pleasant solitude later, Corbin was busy fighting a boss when he found himself fidgeting in his seat a bit, feeling mildly uncomfortable for no apparent reason. He scooted forward in the chair and leaned in, trying to focus on what he was doing, but the sense of vague discomfort edged itself deeper into his consciousness instead of going away. "Rrrgh.." He growled softly in frustration, trying to put it out of his mind. He could stop to figure it out in just a moment..!

But it wouldn't go away, and continued to worsen. His body felt strangely tense and tight, like a spring coiling up. And, as he shifted around in place a little more, his shirt and shorts flapped around more than they should. The tilt of his head toward the TV had to adjust slightly upward now, and it finally began to dawn on him what had to be happening. "Gaah, not now," he mumbled annoyedly at his own body. It seemed to retaliate by flexing and pushing harder, driving his height more noticeably downward, and making him shudder with a sudden ripple of tingling all across his skin. "J-just a, m-mnngh..!" It was already too much to bear. Corbin went into emergency mode, pulling to a relatively safe corner of the boss room, pausing the game and then simply dropping the controller out of his hands as they briefly siezed up.

"Hffhh.." He exhaled, sitting upright and shifting in his seat again, trying to get the weird tensing to cut it out and let him relax. Looking down, he could see his shirt slipping partway off of his left shoulder as his frame compressed itself even faster than before. He gained control of his hands again as they rapidly shrank smaller, the fingers turning slender and delicate, and his arms shortened and slimmed down too. The flexing of his belly seemed to cause it to suck inward, turning slim and flat in no time."Hh, hhaa~aahh.." And..his voice was changing, it seemed, lilting just slightly up out of its usual bass range.
As Corbin grew smaller still, his body seemed to start obeying his desire to relax. The tensing eased off, seeming to gradually turn into a more massage-like experience of his muscles being pressed and released to make them more loose and limber. "Ffh, phew..aa~aagh.." His voice changed more, shifting not so much in pitch as in timbre toward a more feminine sound, as he leaned slowly back into a slump, the back of his head against the back of the couch and still slowly sliding down it as his height diminished a little more.

As the shrinking and tensing slowed and calmed still more, Corbin moved his jaw back and forth, waving his tongue around in his mouth. Something felt..really weird in there for a minute, like some of his teeth were shifting. And then, he felt a tingly sensation just like before but only on his scalp and ears. His hair tickled his forehead and cheeks as it flowed down, growing to just about shoulder length and lightening a bit from pitch black to a dark gray shade—making the 'scalp' part obvious—but even as this came to halt, his ears continued to tingle, even to start itching a bit. "Wh-whaaah..mrrrh..." When he raised his hands and scratched at his ears, his confused mumbling was interrupted by an even more confusing sound from his throat—almost, a little bit like a...purr? And what his hands felt there was bigger ears than any human should have, covered in thin, soft hairs all over. "Whaa~aat's..mnngh..!" By now he sounded very girlish, a dark, yet decidedly womanly alto emerging from his mouth. But there was a much more pressing concern than that.

Corbin's confusion was interrupted at this point by the sensation of his manhood shrinking. It was a distinct slipping, tingling sensation that..rather stimulated the target, making his face grow warm and locking up his mental functions for a moment. "Mnn~nh..aah, aa~aah..." He squirmed a bit more violently in his seat, sitting up once again, as it tugged smaller and smaller—and at the same time, he felt something beginning to...push, itself out, from the base of his spine. He could feel it brushing across the hem of his shirt and the top of his shorts as it trailed outward, gaining length even as his manhood shrank away. It also eagerly flicked itself back and forth, making contact with the seat of the couch behind him in a way that made it clear it was covered in some kind of hairs—and also strangely sensitive to anything touching those hairs. As concerned as he was about this development, in addition to the ears, Corbin remained rather helpless against the whole change-of-sex thing.
"Mnh, o~ooh, mrr~rrRRrrhhh..." Another purr came as he felt it melting away completely. Then a surprisingly high, adorable "Aa~aahh..!" as Corbin felt a wave of pleasure hit her and swooned in response, swaying left and right. At this exact moment her tail—as that was what it was—instantly gaining the rest of its desired length so it could flick around rapidly behind her, the tip thwapping across the back of the couch over and over again. "Aa~ahnn..mrr, rr~rrooowwh..!" The new girl could also feel her ears now rapidly..stretching themselves out, the soft hairs from before now quite a bit longer, enough to brush across her hair and let her know that the growing ears intended to be at least as sensitive as the tail was. They finished growing into two big, triangular fluffy things and stayed in a low position, tips pointed out to either side of her head.

"Aah, w-whoa..mrr~rhn.." The...catgirl, as that was what she was, now found herself absorbed in some more new sensations: Her already-slim belly pressed in at the sides, slimming just a little more; her hips and bottom pushed out just enough to give her a decidedly feminine figure. And—particularly—a third wave of tingling now came exclusively to her chest, starting at the nipples and spreading out and then seeming to progress directly into the steady forward push of a pair of slowly budding breasts. It felt...wonderful.
"A~aahnn..!" High, cute, girly sounds came from her lips as she gave in to another burst of pleasure down there, her tail twitching around freely behind her. This was followed by a deep, low "Mrrr~rrhh" of a feline purr, her eyes fluttering shut as the growth just kept on going. Corbin hadn't htought that Sid was serious about 'enjoying womanhood', but..well, she certainly was now. And..cathood, too, come to think of it. She was starting to get used to—to even like—the way all that fur on her tail and ears caught the air moving across them, plus of course their sensitivity to the slightest touch by something solid. Even as she basked in the girlish/feline pleasure granted her by the still steadily-growing breasts, she found herself anticipating—fantasizing maybe—someone nice enough actually petting that fur...someone who knew how to do it just the right way. Yes, that'd be very nice...

"Mnnfh..aa~aahnn...oo~oh..." The last bit of growth came on particularly strong, addling the catgirl's brain with a similarly intensified wave of pleasure. Then, finally, mercifully, all of that extreme sensation eased off, leaving her to let off a satisfied "Mrr~rroowh..." and then pant softly to slowly catch her breath. At this point she could feel her clothes sliding around on her body, the shirt splitting into a long-sleeved, completely unbuttoned blouse and some kind of a tight, sleeveless and shoulderless half-shirt thing with a collar and ribbon whih failed to even hide the lower third of her new, rather generous bosom. Her shorts, meanwhile, just shrank until they fit her—a little tight, leggings noticeably shorter, flat between the legs and all—leaving the catgirl in an outfit at least as revealing as the one she'd seen on Quaid before.

As her breath finally caught up, Corbin exhaled softly in relief: "Hffffphew. Well—that was, uh.." Her voice naturally came out in that dark, kinda sexy alto—which was nice, she thought. Her small, delicate hand reached up idly scratch an ear and then run down through some soft, dark gray hair before pressing its back on her cheek and rubbing gently along it, finding soft, smooth skin there. All the while she looked down and around, staring at her newly soft, smooth skin, small body, fairly generous curves and—of course—that long, slim whitish-gray tail, which now had a slower and more rhythmic, almost mesmerizing pattern of waving back and forth. "...S-something..yeah..." Her face was still rather warm, and her mind still a little dazed—still partially occupied by imagining someone's fingers on her ears or maybe even tail. But—Corbin had unfinished business before she could deal with any of that, and she bent forward to pick up the controller.

It actually seemed to fit better in her smaller hands than it had before, which was nice. Going back to the game, it also felt as if her reflexes were somehow a little better before—and her interest in the fight even seemed enhanced a bit. She could feel her ears fold back a bit, her tail flicking around excitedly as she got close to beating her...prey..? Yes, that was what some new, semi-foreign part of her mind thought of the boss. It was true enough: She did intend to hunt it down and kill it, however deadly to her player character it was. Fortunately the pause hadn't really set her back that much, and she was done and able to get to a save point quite soon enough. Then Corbin got off of the game and began considering how to deal with sudden...catgirlhood.

Actually, as she picked up her phone and game system again...the first thing she really wanted was a nap. It'd be nice to curl up on her bed for a little while, maybe...so she headed back to her room. Along the way she found that her body felt strangely light and agile. A quick-paced walk felt like nothing at all; in fact it felt more natural now than her previous, slow gait as a human boy would've. In no time at all she was there, opening the door. Her roommate was there, looking strangely tall to her shrunken stature. It wasn't that she was super short, just about average for a girl—which turned out to be a decent bit down from her previous size. "Yo, Darren," she said casually, sweeping inside and tossing the door back behind her to shut it again without a pause.
"Uhhh, hii?" He seemed fairly confused, and extremely uncertain how to respond to the sudden appearance of a catgirl in his room. Okay, maybe that was a natural reaction.
"Oh, yeah, 's'Corbin," she said, feeling her cheeks grow warm a bit for some reason. Maybe it was the fact that she was now a girl, and a guy was blatantly staring at her mostly-undressed, decently curvy figure and/or her face, or maybe it was that she kinda could imagine his fingers petting her ears...or something. Yeah, he'd probably know how to do it right, at least. "Girl potion made me a catgirl. An', like, check this out—"

"Aaah." Corbin the catgirl opened her mouth wide, pointing an index finger inside. "I got fangs. Like, I always thought animal-people just had ears and a tail, but..I think I'm way more of a cat than that, huh?"
"I..guess so? Is it weird being um..part cat?" Darren asked.
"Ehh, kinda. I got 'feline instincts' or something as part of the package."
"...Now that I think of it, though, you've always been sorta catlike...right?" her roommate said. "I mean—not like a catgirl, but like an actual cat."
"Hmnn..." She thought about it for a moment or two, then slowly nodded. "...Nnnyeah, I can see that. Anyway, turning into a girl was sorta tiring, so I'm'onna take a nap." Corbin continued on to put some things down and curl up on the bed, as planned. As soon as she was lying across the bed, she instinctively stretched out from ears to tail, arms and legs extended to their full, and then curled up. Her joints all seemed incredibly loose, ready to contort themselves into any shape she wanted—and, in this case, curling up to a degree that might have been impossible for a human simply felt normal and comfortable to her.
"Okay. I, uh..I'm thinking of taking the potion too," Darren said.
"Do what you wanna. It doesn't hurt or anything," she said, then closed her eyes and succeeded at something she never had before, as an ordinary human: Falling asleep, instantly, on command. When she woke up feeling substantially rested and realized this accomplishment, she concluded: Being a catgirl was actually pretty sweet! Then she stretched again in that same, extremely catlike manner, before hopping easily with a little midair twirl onto her feet beside the bed, and thought about seeing whether her roommate's change had hit him yet...

  1. I am not certain which I like better, your captions, your chapters long stories, or the I between works like this one.

I am certain of one thing, and that is that they are all good.
