As you probably are aware, I've been using generated images for a while now, and the images I'm able to make now are much better than the ones I could make originally. A few days ago, I tried a small experiment, and (maybe unfortunately) found it to be a huge success.
I took the images from Honeymoon Suite, and tried using image-to-image to re-generate them using newer methods. The results were very good. Take the first image from that story as an example. Here is the original version:
And here is what I got from re-generating it:
To me, at least, this looks so much better that I can't stand not to share it. In fact, I'd really like to present this better version in the story itself now. And, having done this experiment, I basically went and redid every image of each story that was made using the old method, and essentially feel the same way about all of the results. However, I don't like to see old works made unavailable or deleted, including my own, even if it's something I don't necessarily think is good anymore. So, my plan is to make things look like they do below (demonstrated using another image from the same story): The new images will be visible right away, and below them will be a button you can click to view the old ones.
Anyway, I just wanted to put this announcement up so that you'll know what's happening if you read a story that used one of these older-method images at some point after this change has been made. I plan to gradually edit the new images over some days (as there are a lot of them to do). Hopefully this decision won't bother anyone too much.
Also, yes, I do still really want to finish that particular story...
