Omega Zeta Kappa 9: ι

When Hayden Tanner chose to start the Omega Zeta Kappa fraternity, there was only one member of faculty he trusted to understand his vision for the bizarre organization: Dr. Allen Neal, a man well-known for a number of unusual stunts during the course of his own youth, who finally took an offer to teach art almost entirely so he could foster the same spirit in the generation two or three after his own. "Al" was well-acquainted with the Tanners as some of his early, "conventional art" patrons, long before their adoptive sons grew old enough for college. He didn't know until after the Veil lifted that they were a couple of "Mammon"—greed demons, that was—but it certainly made sense with the way they threw their abundant money around. For whatever reason, they chose to adopt human kids rather than have any in the usual way, and there was at least one more coming down the line after Richard. Now pushing seventy, the old professor wasn't sure if he'd stick with the college long enough to see that one's tenure with the OZK, but they seemed self-sufficient enough to get by without a Tanner or Neal influence anyway. He couldn't help but be happy with what they'd accomplished, and still were accomplishing.

Even though he expected to find something strange whenever he came for a visit, Dr. Neal still managed to be surprised from time to time. He could feel a slight pang of envy that today's student population had the benefit of magic to make their stunts all the stranger and more striking, and Richard seemed happy to exploit that benefit from time to time—up until Al expected it, and then he would find some totally mundane way to confound everyone. That wasn't to say it was always his ideas, of course, with a Kitsune also sharing the helm among other things. Al's visit that Saturday afternoon was more or less arbitrarily decided upon, and turned out to be rather fortuitious—the fraternity had a surprise to top all previous ones ready, and the signs of it were evident before he even reached the building.

OZK allowed visitors of all kinds, of course, as long as things were basically on the level. But the number of girls out on the fraternity's front lawn was still more than could usually be expected at this time of day. The young men about who Dr. Neal knew to be members of the fraternity were in a number of emotions, mostly extreme: Excited, like they were eagerly expecting a gift; anxious, worried; astonished or even in borderline shock. The balding professor stopped on the sidewalk, turning toward the building with his hands in his jacket pockets, surveying the scene for a long moment and trying to guess what might be going on.

While he looked on, the front door opened, and a young woman with long, flowing black hair and some very familiar, piercing red eyes strode out, making a beeline for him. "Good afternoon, Al," she said with a friendly smile. "You couldn't have picked a better time to visit, I'd say."
"Hmm.." The Tanners' second child had a very distinctive personality, almost an aura about him, which proved recognizable even in a drastically different shape. "..Richard?"
"Indeed," she nodded, her smile taking on a bit of satisfaction that he'd worked it out. "The high council made a very important decision this morning. Please, come with me and I'll explain." She gestured toward the front door of the building, and Dr. Neal let her lead him inside.

"Well, you've done it again," he said in the wake of the explanation, now sitting across from her in the first-floor lounge. "I admit, I'm impressed. This does seem like the sort of thing that should require some sort of approval from the university, but of course it's never been tried before. Good old 'Air Bud' argument."
"Hmn?" she tilted her head just slightly.
"You know: 'Ain't no rule says a dog can't play—' oh, nevermind." It was obviously too old of a reference for her. "At any rate, I think it's a solid plan. Even if someone in administration objects, it seems like you'll have a majority of females by the time they even hear about it. Then they'll be stuck with either calling a female-dominated GLO a 'fraternity' or just accepting the decision as-is."
"Indeed," she nodded. "Our university-approved charter says we can do this anyway."
"I don't recall that clause, but I still don't speak legalese, either," Al said, shrugging. "Well, you know I have no problem with it. I don't suppose this is out of any consideration for your younger sister?"
"Oh, no, of course not," Rich said, gently shaking her head. "This is almost entirely self-motivated. Or, at best, out of consideration for some of our present members. Who's to say it won't be undone as soon as I graduate, or start a tradition of swapping over every few years? If she even goes here in the first place, she'll just have to be whatever Omega Zeta Kappa is to join it."

At this point, two other young women burst into the room, a dark-haired girl followed by an obviously wolfish white-haired one in a full maid outfit. "Yo, Rich!"
"Heeyy!" The latter noticed the professor first, and waved at him while the former continued toward Richard. "Our illustrious partner-in-faculty! Yo."
"Hello..." Judging entirely by their excitable natures, the fact both were werewolves, and that they were coming in as a pair: "Quaid and Sid, I presume?"
"You got it, yeeah!"
"Three for three," Rich said, nodding. Then, to Quaid: "What's the trouble?"
"We ran out!"
"Well, I mean, mostly," Sid corrected. "We put the rest in these two bottles," she said, holding up bottles of some glowing, multicolored liquid—probably the transformation potion Richard had spoken of. "We left after filling an order, but there could be a guy at the stand right now waiting for us to come back!"

"No worries. I'll get the supply closet unlocked for you," Richard said, standing up.
"Out of curiosity..your state of dress?" Al gestured to Sid.
"Oh, yeah, I thought it'd be funny to wear a maid costume. Since we're 'serving people'. And also cute, maybe!" she added cheerfully, grinning and wagging—well, cutely for sure. "So I got the potion to turn some old junk clothes into this sweet getup."
"Hmm. So, its effects can be directed?" Dr. Neal addressed this question to the proper expert, Richard, of course.
"Tooo some extent," she replied. "I was told the set of effects I wanted were complicated enough to introduce some 'wild magic', which could have...well, not dangerous, but certainly unpredictable effects. On the other hand, those effects could also be partially directed by the drinker's desires, conscious or not."
"And you said the potion is meant to make the drinker relatively 'healthy'?" Rich nodded.

"Well," Al stood up carefully. "I don't suppose there's any spare supply for an outsider, is there?"
"I don't know about a complete outsider—giving it to everyone who asked would run us dry before we got all our members changed," she said. "But—for someone already associated with us, such as an alumni, there shouldn't be a problem."
Sid looked back and forth between them throughout this conversation, before finally seeming to realize its meaning. "Oh—duude, do you want some?!" she said, waving one of the bottles she had. Then, turning her head Rich's way: "He can have some?!"
While Rich nodded, Al said: "It'd be a decent way to indicate my solidarity with your organization's decision. Anyway, 'healthy' is usually pretty hard to come by at my age, and it sounds to me like it might even be able to make me feel a bit younger."
"Sweet!" She offered him the bottle, and he took it. "Oh maan, wish I could see your students' faces Monday."
"You uh, might wanna get somewhere private when the change starts," Quaid added. "Which'll be anywhere from immediately to twenty-four hours after drinking it. Anyway, we've got a load to haul!" Richard gave him a brief nod, following the two excitable werewolves out.

"Hmm." Now left in a quiet lounge alone, Al stared at the contents of bottle for a long moment. He then shrugged, going and locking the door (it didn't seem like anyone was interested in using the little lounge just now anyway; most students actually used the game room's comfier couches and chairs to relax) before opening the cap and sipping as much of the potion at once as he could. It tasted like some bitter medicine at first, making him wince, but he bore with it and drank some more. The bitterness faded slowly, and by the time he got into the second half or so of the magical drink its flavor seemed to have turned entirely sweet instead, almost pushing too far in that direction by the last mouthful. Then, not feeling anything right away, he went over to sit back down on the lounge chair and see if anything would happen.

After a brief moment, something indeed did happen: Al suddenly felt a rush of inexplicable excitement, his heartrate palpably accelerating and a gasp coming in through his mouth. He pressed a hand to his chest briefly, thinking, This better not just give me a heart attack, but of course it didn't. Rather, while he took a deep breath and let it out, the excited feeling seemingly gave rise to a wave of tingling starting from around the center of his chest and radiating out, then another, stronger wave that made him shudder with what felt like anticipation. This second one hit his scalp especially hard, and he could feel along with it the motion of a full head of hair rapidly growing back into place up there. It grew overzealously, turning into messy long locks that hung before his eyes as bangs, fell across either side of his face, and tickled his neck on the way to being almost long enough to touch his shoulders. On top of that, the gray vanished from the hairs, leaving them the same bright blonde he had been born with.

"Phfffew." The tingling faded off about as the hair growth ended, and the professor took a moment to run a hand across his face. Every trace of wrinkle and blemish was gone, along with any hair there—the skin was soft and smooth, the effects of age completely reversed on it. But, of course, the potion's effects weren't about to stop at just his skin and hair. After only a brief break, Allen felt the rush of excitement and energy hit him again—this time feeling much more comfortable than the first, as though he was more physically prepared to be so excited.
He found himself wriggling in his seat briefly, then stretching his arms to the sky and his legs out in front of him as the muscles all seemed to want to flex themselves at once. Like a brief but intense massage, everything seemed to relax and heal away all traces of soreness at once. But at the same time, Dr. Neal's body shrank all around him: His surroundings towering upward as his outstretched limbs all rapidly shortened, his clothes falling looser and looser on him by the second. He heard his voice go "Aaaa~aaaa~aaahhh" in relief, its pitch rising higher and higher the lower his perspective sank, until finally the stretch ended and he dropped his arms and legs down again—the latter suddenly too short to even reach the floor and the former immediately engulfed in the long, newly over-wide sleeves of his jacket.

It was a shock to suddenly be—and feel—so small, but all Al could do in response was laugh. A soft, cute "Eheheh" of a giggle came out, followed by bursting into an equally adorable "HEEe~heeheehee!" While this started out as a reaction to the absurd, sudden motion of his body, the laughter continued in response to a tingly, tickly feeling down between his legs, a bizarrely pleasant sensation that kept his heartrate up and made his cheeks warm with a blush. The change of sex swiftly approached as the tingling progressed into a sharp tug, and the giggling, girlish laughter only terminated when it was interrupted by an equally feminine, high voiced inward gasp as he changed all at once into the girl she sounded like. This was then followed by a cute, happy "OOOooOO~Ooohh..!" as she felt a long burst of girlish pleasure that made her wriggle around in her seat more vigorously than before, her face burning brilliantly and beaming with delight.

"Hff, ffh, h-heheh..!" The sense of excitement and energy seemed to stick around now, no longer feeling like an unexpected rush but just...her. Al couldn't remember ever feeling quite this energetic before, but it had been quite a while since she'd been a young man, after all—and anyway, it wasn't like she was complaining! She let out a soft, happy "Waa~AAaaa~aah..!" as her body gently pressed some curves outward: Hips and thighs plumping out, chest pushing forward into a small but mature pair of breasts. At the same time, her clothes rapidly shuffled around on her, mostly shrinking down to fit her positively tiny, narrow frame. Just as it came close to fitting her properly again, her shirt lost its sleeves and pulled down her neckline—leaving behind its collar as a small choker—while a tiny bra formed beneath it; the hem of the resulting top stayed far enough down her legs to hide her hips and upper thighs, as well as a small, frilly pair of panties her underwear turned into. The pants, already mostly off of her hips, crawled the rest of the way down and split apart, softening and thinning into a pair of thigh-high stockings which merged with her former socks.

"O-o~ooh..heehee..!" The new girl hopped down to her feet, feeling the afterglow of a very adult feminine pleasure even as a boundless, happy energy fit for a child flowed through her. Maybe she'd need a proper checkup to tell for sure, but it certainly felt like that 'wild magic' had done what she'd asked and then some, making her a fairly small and childish young adult. If anything, though, the idea of being this cute and still holding a position as a tenured professor at the university sounded like a lot of fun to tease and confuse people with! She scurried over to the door, opening it to rush across the hallway into a bathroom and get a better look at herself in the mirror.

"Ooh, nice~!" Al grinned, giving an 'OK' signal to the still-faintly-blushing girl in the mirror. She hadn't even noticed some of her hair getting bundled up into some tiny pigtails in the excitement, nor her nails growing longer and gaining what seemed to be some pink paint on them. The wild, childish look to her hair seemed just perfect, she thought, and while there were bound to be some annoyances from being so very short, they'd be more than worth it for feeling like she could practically jump her own height up into the air if she really needed to.

She came back out of the restroom at around the same time Rich was headed back to the lounge to check on her, and quickly waved to the dark-haired girl. "Heey, Miss Tanner~," she said cheerfully. "That potion seems to've worked like a charm!"
"Oh?" She looked down at the older..but younger-looking girl for a moment before nodding, smiling herself. "I'm glad to hear it. I imagine this'll make your next faculty meeting more exciting, at least."
"Aww, I don't think
those can be fixed. But I'll at least get to super confuse my colleagues students over the coming weeks. Maybe years. And I've got you to thank for it!" Without really thinking about it, she hopped up and forward to hug the taller (younger) girl for a moment, until her brain finally caught up with her and she let go, hopping back a few steps.

"Heheh—whooops. Sorry, I've been left with
way more energy than I think I know what to do with."
"It's quite alright. You're far from the
first person to jump at me with an unsolicited hug today," Rich said, looking much more composed than Dr. Neal felt at the moment.
"Anyway, you can probably expect to see this face in the news sometime in the coming months, too," she said. "I 'retired' from my bigger projects just 'cause I wasn't feeling up to it anymore, but I'm feeling up to pretty much anything now. And there's plenty of ideas I haven't tried just yet that should be doable without costing me tenure."
"I'll look forward to it," Rich said, nodding. "Let me know if we can help."
"Oh, naturally! Unless I want it to be a surprise for you all. Though I can't imagine I'll be able to top
this one," she said, waving vaguely around at the hallway. "Anyway, I've gotta go. Maybe run some of this energy off so I can concentrate. See ya!"
"Farewell." The short, cute girl gave Richard a brief backwards wave in reply, being already halfway turned around to run out of the building by this point.

Battle Vixens! - 92

Episode 92: Lightning Crashes

Amory followed Blake through the back entrance to Ning's shop. "Are you sure this place is private enough?"
"Oughta be fine," Ning said, stepping back to let them inside. "Once it came to closin' time, some of my old regulars started shooin' folks off so I could get the rest of the stock packed away. Still gotta take care of that before I leave, but—we sold an awful lot, and there's still plenty of time."
Blake nodded, then looked around the half-empty stockroom. "Nadia?"
"Napping. Tuckered out from all the attention." She crossed her arms. "Some folks wanted to meet her, but I was pretty clear about no pictures. They were good about that, but—she's still not used to so many new people at once. This won't be loud anyway, right?"

Her guests exchanged a brief glance. "..Shouldn't be. Unless 'we' yell for some reason," Blake said.
"Well, you and I'd both know better, so..isn't that how it works?"
"Yeah." He breathed in and out once, then said what he had to to change into Light.
"Is it bad I'm lookin' forward to this?" Ning said. "Not that I ever had a clue this sorta thing was possible, but—Light-Ning! For real," she said, gesturing excitedly forward.
"Better than being nervous, I guess," Light said. She caught herself picking at one of her own ears, and slowly dropped the hand to her side again. Amory was also in vixen form by this point.

"So, what do we do exactly?"
"Well uh...more or less, I just say your phrase while we..hug." Light looked slightly away, blushing.
"Aww, are you bothered about that? C'mon, I'm old enough to be your grandma! You wouldn't mind hugging a granny, right?"
"The thing is, though, you don't look like it..."
"Baah. C'mere you." Ning stepped in, halfway picking Light up in a hug. "You need a hug anyway, don't you? You've been stressed for days!"
"Hmnh." It really wasn't as bad with the other party treating it like no big deal. Light just gently returned the hug. "So, you wanna do it?"
"Yeah, go ahead!"

After Light gave the order, both of their bodies converted mostly to the respective forms of energy—light and electricity—and flowed together into a space exactly between their prior positions, reforming into a single, two-tailed vixen's body. She was around half a foot taller than Ning, slightly curvier too, with bright white hair down to her lower waist and the same white-with-black pattern to her ears as Light. Her eyes were a yellowish-green—halfway between Light's and Ning's, of course—and her clothes came out as a pair of short jean-shorts and a tight, white-and-black t-shirt whose hem only made it about halfway down her waist, partially showing off a slim midriff sporting a six-pack.

The merged girl giggled at once, looking down across herself for a moment. "Not bad at all~. I'm feeling surprisingly okay with getting used to this," she said.
"Uh, which 'I' and which 'this'?" Amp asked.
"Light, and—being 'two people', I guess." She brushed a hand over one of her own ears. "I mean, I guess I was right about being stressed. Even though I, uh—'Ning' has had a fairly long day, I hardly even understand what I was worried about. It'll turn out okay!"
"Well, that's good to hear, at least. So...'Lightning'?"

She nodded. "Like there was any other choice, heheh! Lessee here.." Raising a hand palm-up, Lightning made a spark of electricity dance around in a circle, then a more complicated, spiraling pattern. "This is nice, I actually feel totally in control like this. I mean—the 'tuning' helped a ton, but this is on a totally different level. Well—you know how good 'Light' is at manipulating physical light, yeah?" Amp nodded. "It feels just as easy as that, now. I could make ten thousand volts navigate a rat maze if I wanted!" By this point she had lowered her hand, split the spark into five or six arcs of electricity all dancing around her in spiral patterns." Ooh hey, if I ever wanted another career, I'd be a pretty good electrician," she brought up out of nowhere. "Control or not, being immune to shocks and able to 'feel' electricity like this would be ridiculously useful."
"Uh..sure. Anything else come to mind?" Amp said, trying to keep her more or less on task.

Lightning put a finger to her cheek, thinking—pulling the sparks back into herself at the same time. "Weell, I only half-know what I'm talking about, but it's all electromagnetic uh..'ssstuff', right? Like, electrons and photons basically act kinda similar in a lot of situations, and stimulate each other out of atoms. It's only a small fraction of Prism's 'trick', but I'm sure I could make as much light from electricity as I liked, or vise-versa." She darkened the room, forming a sphere of light next to her with a diameter around half her own height, and then snapped with her right hand, turning it into an equal-sized ball of electricity—then, repeating the gesture, back again. "This feels way more 'efficient' than that actually, if that makes any sense. More closely related, possibly, besides just being my 'native' elements and not an 'imitation'. Ohh yeah, I'm super fast and strong too," she said, flexing an arm, "not that there's a greeaat non-destructive way to demonstrate that, and dual wielding is always pretty sweet!" With this last declaration, she formed Light's and Ning's swords in her left and right hands respectively, holding them out to either side for a second before pulling them in, holding both vertically in front of her to look at.

"Hmn. You know, I was able to change my two swords into a sword and sheath before. Maybe it's 'flexible enough' like this?" Lightning clapped her hands together with the swords still in them, succeeding in a brief eruption of sparks and light (a flash which Amp's power alone let her not be blinded by) with the end result of a gigantic sword being held in both her hands. "Hmn, pretty good. Not sure I can do as many different 'weapon shapes' as Emma, but some more options to pick from is still pretty nice." She let go, unsummoning the blade.

"..You know what else, I think this makes me just strong enough to manage Light's 'light-speed' thing semi-frequently. Not—constantly, but often enough to supplement everything else in a fight for sure. Soo—pet me a bit, then?"
"Uh..sure." It was strange for someone she perceived as Light to be quite this blunt with the request (at least, in a non-urgent situation), but Amp was happy to come closer to the tall woman and reach up, gently rubbing her ears a bit. Predictably this grew her taller still, enough that she had to pick Amp up off her feet for her arms to still reach. After it was done, Lightning set her down again, still grinning brightly.

"Whoo! Thanks," she said. "I dunno that there's much 'extra' over what we've already covered but stronger...oh, but I bet I could leave some electricity along the trail I 'lightspeed' through. I mean—really, if I can be light or electricity through the air and I can convert one to the other, why not?"
"Heheh, true enough," Amp said.
"So—the one other thing is testing this with Emma to see if it goes up another tier. And, actually I can't think of any reason I wouldn't be able to 'make' me and her fuse independently...that is, uh—"
"Light making two of the others fuse?" Amp surmised aloud.
"Yeah, that!"

"There is one other issue which we need to bring up," Dr. Bridges said. "As we mentioned before, 'Hephaestus' is able to identify valid keys." He couldn't resist using the 'codename' at least the once now that it was announced, after all. "This was first displayed by examining the masks the Giver did not take."
Dr. Brand nodded; if she was annoyed about the name, it was difficult to tell through her usual demeanor. "Every single one was viable. We made several dozen of them, because our methods for testing viability—without actually having someone attempt to use them as keys—incorrectly told us each was a failure, and we retained them in hopes of studying them to learn what went wrong."
"So...you mean to tell me," Chandra said, "that the research department has dozens of masks capable of doing what that one did to you, to anyone."
"Well—not precisely anyone," Ezekiel said. "Our current understanding is that a certain amount of 'natural aptitude' and 'compatibility' would be needed in order for even the most viable of keys to activate. But—morally, 'anyone' is close enough. We're keeping them in a more secure location than my partner's office now, of course."

Dr. Brand said, "The point is: The problem of what to do with the fruits of our research has come up much sooner than expected. In my personal opinion, these particular fruits are deeply flawed—but that does not change the fact that they have tactical potential."
"Nor that there is an obvious risk in keeping them around, yet sitting on them," Dr. Bridges continued. "The question comes down to: Destruction, deployment, or...storage." He hesitated slightly out of disappointment that no word starting with 'de-' would communicate this last concept. "And while it is emphatically not our decision to make, we naturally have opinions on the matter."
"We agree that storing them is an unnecessary and wasteful risk," Dr. Brand said, "and that such an act, if found out by our allies or the public, would sow distrust. I believe they should be destroyed as soon as possible, in the process salvaging any material that can further our work and produce keys without irritating side-effects all the sooner."
"I, on the other hand, think it would be wasteful to destroy them," Ezekiel said. "I would gladly see them in the hands—or on the faces, really—of persons the VI or its allies consider trustworthy enough to wield the power they would help awaken. It's not as if the public would be shocked by the appearance of a few dozen more vixens at this point."

Frank nodded. "Hmm." He paused, leaned back and slowly forward again, and then pressed the button on his desk for the intercom with his secretary. "Opal, could you bring in the slides from this morning?"
"No problem, sir." She came in, quickly and efficiently setting up a projector screen and a laptop at one edge of his desk before handing him a slide-changer button and going to stand on the other side of the screen with her hands behind her.

"Indulge me for a minute, please," he said, flipping through the first several slides. "This is a presentation I gave this morning to our..well, 'investors', for lack of a better word. The government, of course, and some individuals and groups who believe in the Initiative's goals and have been helping to fund it. I won't bore you with the expense reports...here we are." He stopped at a slide showing a chart with an obvious upward trend. "First of all, this is the total estimated cost each day from the destruction caused by the attacks over the past couple of weeks. Oh, and, for all of these, we skipped the days when there were no attacks. This leaves off the hazard pay for doing repair work in an area known to be frequently attacked, since that's only in certain places and in the past few days or so." He clicked to another graph with a clear upward trend. "This is the number of people injured or worse each day.." Next was a bar graph with relatively small numbers, but still those numbers went up over time. "..The number of casualties among empowered—including being killed, being eaten and put into a coma, and the surprisingly few who suffered non-fatal injuries severe enough to take them out of active combat more or less indefinitely."

"...The average length of a battle..the total estimated volume of black mist making up the monsters for each day, using some rough computer-assisted estimation from available news footage..." Rowan's eyes drifted once or twice to the secretary, who just smiled and gave an innocent wave at him the second time.

"..Aaand, this one requires a bit more explanation. Not too far into the development of the VI app, we built in a 'post-battle survey' that vixens could elect to take. This is the average rating, from one to ten, on questions like 'how difficult was this fight?', 'how much stress did you feel during it?', 'how tired are you right now'?...more or less," he said, pointing out each color in turn with the clicker's built-in laser pointer. "We got complaints after the first few days that the scale didn't go up to a hundred. And, of course, this is just from the relatively small number who were able to, and chose to, participate in those surveys—but you can see the same thing by just watching the news. It's increasingly common to see near-death experiences, people still completely out of breath throughout interview segments, but relieved just to have a chair to sit in..or empowered collapsing straight to sleep from exhaustion and needing to be carried off somewhere private by their comrades or helpful bystanders. If anything, Rowan's work has been commendable in making our city an exception when it comes to that; Light's group as well, though that may be due to their 'secret weapon' making them temporarily stronger when it's needed.

"..The people I gave this data to this morning wanted to know why our funding emphasized research and development so heavily. What the Giver gave us was obviously not intended to last the whole war—if you want to call it that," he said. Rowan's eyes drifted Opal's way again at this point, and she winked. It was hard to say whether this was innocent or not, really. "Long-term, our goal is to have a world where anyone can defend themselves from those things. But even in the short-term, the Empowered need all of the support they can get, as soon as we can give it." Frank leaned over the laptop, switching over from the presentation to something else. "Now, here's something I couldn't show them..."

Some shaky video from the day before, in Light's town, came to the screen, pausing on a frame focusing on Magus. "The research department's preliminary test subject. For the moment, everyone knows her as another 'ordinary' vixen. Here she is fighting alongside Light.." He skipped through some more video to an image of her putting up a shield to block a barrage of lightning. "..and helping take down that monster that ate Ning. Her powers seem weaker than most, but they're uniquely versatile in a way no one else can come close to...with, maybe one exception," he added, obviously thinking of Gemma.
"Now, as I understand it, it's not guaranteed that every person who gets a key will be a 'Magus'—or a 'Hephaestus', for that matter. Still, there's no telling what other useful abilities people could have. The Giver chose to hand people 'violent' powers which could be used to directly fight those things, which suggests there may be those who could awaken other abilities that would provide some of the increasingly needed support. Imagine if every city had at least one person who could heal wounds with a touch, even a fraction as well as Dr. Quinn," he said.

"That's not to mention our allies," Frank continued. "They've been breathing down our neck to hear what kind of progress the research is making, right?"
Rowan nodded. "There is some unspoken but obvious suspicion that—being largely an American organization—the VI won't really release all of the information, much less the tools we develop, for the use of those in other countries."
He nodded. "Sending out a few of our preliminary results, while noting their flaws, would give them some assurance of our stated intentions. Besides, of course, helping them."

"In short, you think we should hand those things out like candy," Chandra said; by her tone, she seemed to be in Dr. Brand's camp.
"Well, not exactly," Frank said, and gestured to Dr. Bridges. "The research department has already developed tools to assess the alignment of a person's goals to those of the Initiative, as well as their viability for a key to awaken meaningful power. With some slight tuning, those same tools could be used to choose who gets a mask, and offered to interested ally organizations for the same purpose." Ezekiel nodded slowly, not so much agreeing with him as visibly thinking about how to accomplish said tuning.

"Another point in favor of this decision is the Giver's theft of a few of those masks. To me it reads like a message: 'Use the rest of these yourselves, or I will'." Opal nodded just slightly. It resembled the way one would politely and absent-mindedly nod while listening to someone else speak, but of course it happened to be timed exactly after he said this. Since he was still addressing the other three in the room, Frank wasn't even looking in her direction at the time.

Gemma's phone rang, and she picked it up. "Uh...Light?" She hesitated, glanced at Magus, and then apparently decided to use this name.
"N—yes. Uh, Partially, yeah," The voice on the other end didn't really sound like Light, or even 'boosted' Light, from Magus's prior experience. It sounded..lighter but also more mature, which didn't seem like a possible combination. Definitely less serious. "I'm also Ning! We did the thing," she continued after a second or two to seemingly get her response straight.
"Oh. Uh, good, I guess?" Gemma did not seem to know the purpose of the..fusion?..calling her.
"Yeah, so, since I'm already, I mean we're already—whatever. You wanna see if the other thing works?"
"The other..oh! Um, sure I guess?" She glanced uncertainly at the Quinns, and Clark helpfully gestured at some of the unclaimed armor. "Uhh, I'm at the Quinns' place, and they have our armor..stuff. You want me to bring yours?"
"Sure! Amp's too, if you don't mind. That's—three, for the record."
"Um, I know, but thanks."
"Great! We're at my—uh, at Ning's shop. See you soon!"
"S-sure." The other end hung up excitedly.

"Uh, Light and..well, we wanted to see if like a three-way fusion was possible," Gemma half-stumbled her explanation.
"I, uh, presume she's calling herself 'Lightning'?" Magus asked.
"If anything is good and pure in this world, she is," Rory replied.
"Eheh, she didn't actually say." Gemma spoke the phrase to change back to her vixen form, standing up and splitting into two bodies presumably in order to more easily carry her burden.
"Um, do you need any help carrying those out?" Magus said, getting up herself.
"Well, uh—" "—I'd appreciate it, at least."

"So this is uh...dumb, and totally self-serving," the vixen in the hat said as they were on their way to Gemma's car. "But I gotta ask anyway."
"Hmmn?" Just Minus looked her way, Plus being ahead of them.
"That uh, spell thing, the Giver used on you. There's no way you like, 'learned' it or could teach someone else how to do that, right?"
"Uh, no. Sorry.—" "—I guess I can see where a lot of people might want something like that.—" "—And I mean, even if I could, she might get kinda angry about trying to 'share' the 'prize'?—" "—I dunno."
"No, no, that's—I get it," Magus said.
"Uhhm. I really am sorry,—" "—I mean, I know what it's like to kinda hate how you look."
"It's no big deal. I probably shouldn'a asked." Still—magic that could change people's appearances had been visibly staring everyone in the face the whole time. It had a limited and specific effect when it came to 'regular' vixens, but..if Magus could come up with a spell that arbitrarily altered clothes, then...

Well, what did it matter, anyway? It wasn't like she could temporarily split into two to have the 'vixen side' cast a spell at the 'human Marcus'. Or, like—if she figured out a spell to transform someone, it wasn't like anyone else would be able to learn it. Even Gemma, whose whole thing was learning, evidently couldn't 'imitate' her spells. Maybe it was something best put away and not worried about. But, even as Magus made her way back through the Quinns' house and said her goodbyes, heading out the back fence toward her car again—the idea lingered. Her spells could violate nature in all sorts of other extreme ways, so...why wouldn't there be a transformation one? But—it wasn't like she'd have anyone to test it on, either, even if she did come up with something like that.

Omega Zeta Kappa 8: λ

More than halfway through his first year of college, Layton was still waiting anxiously for the moment he'd finally, actually come out of his shell. He'd always been rather softspoken and shy, and even puberty had left him short and small in stature, enough for normal guys to tower over him. It had also been particularly unkind in leaving him awkward, tongue-tied and just easily flustered in general around girls. Nonetheless, he pursued a college education in music performance and composition, hoping that he'd somehow build up or find the courage to perform and create music for everyone to enjoy. It maybe goes without saying that he had stage fright too—only mitigated when he was in a large enough ensemble to make himself believe he could disappear in the onstage crowd.

Erwin was one of the first upperclassmen—if not the first person—to really pay attention to, and be nice to him. The Omega Zeta Kappa fraternity terrified Layton at least as much as everything else when he first heard about them. There were all kinds of crazy rumors, sometimes in the mouths of the group's very own members. But Erwin invited him in not far into his first semester, describing the place as a kind of shelter for the less stereotypically popular students, and full of friendly people besides. He was happy that he trusted the first friend he'd made, as it turned out to be that and more. Even the strangest and most initially terrifying members, like OZK's "boss" and those two bizarre werewolves, treated Layton like a younger brother of sorts and went out of their way to help and encourage him sometimes.
The only bad thing was that, even with all of the advice and help he was getting from such people, he still hadn't really found much confidence in himself. He knew he had talent with music—he was doing well enough in his classes, after all—but still locked up completely in all kinds of basic social situations. The idea of doing lone recitals later in his academic career—much less performing professionally—still scared him stiff sometimes.

The announcement on that Saturday morning perplexed and worried Layton to no end. He wasn't nearly as used to OZK's bizarre stunts as most of its members, having bypassed even the lightweight "hazing" they usually did on Erwin's firm insistence. He didn't know what to think—if it was even real or not—until he got out of his room and looked around. Of course the living area being suddenly, increasingly full of pretty girls was...something any guy could agree was nice, but it presented a serious problem for Layton in particular. He still wasn't even sure if any actual transformations were taking place, or if the high council had somehow enlisted the assistance of a real sorority to pull an elobrate prank all of the fraternity's actual members. In the way he usually did when so completely overwhelmed, Layton just sort of shut everything out and numbly went to take care of something he at least comprehended how to do—in this case, get breakfast.

"Heeyy!" Most of the way to the kitchen, he was snapped out of it by a high-pitched, cheerful voice, and turned that way to see a gorgeous girl in a maid outfit, standing next to a taller, also gorgeous girl in..well, whatever it was, it didn't do much to hide her skin or figure. They were near the wall on the side of the hallway just in front of him, along with a thing that resembled a water cooler full of...well, the phrase "pulsating liquid rainbow" is what came to Layton's mind.

The maid-girl wagged a huge, fluffy white tail behind her. "Layton! Morning, bro!"
"Uh, um.......h-hi." He desperately wanted to pretend she was after someone else's attention, but she not only waved right at him but said his name like she recognized him. As usual, he just sort of froze in place.
"Oh, great job, you broke him," the other girl said, making the maid-girl's big white wolfish ears droop apologetically.
"H-hey, it's just me—uh, Sid, dude. Didn't you see the announcement?"
"Wha-buh..S-sid?" Layton's eyes were wide as he looked at the other girl and spotted some fangs in her mouth. "Quaid?!"
"Yeah, that's me~," she said cheerfully. "We got the job of serving the potion to everyone! You want some?"
"Uh. Um." Given that Layton's brain hadn't yet accepted that the situation was even real, the concept of getting turned into a girl himself came as a completely warningless shock. It was plausible, maybe, that two similar-enough-looking girls, both also werewolves, had somehow been enlisted to 'play the roles' of female versions of those two, but...their looks of instant recognition, the way they talked, and..anyway, even beyond that, there was just something Quaid-like and Sid-ish about them. The picture that had come with Rich's group text had shown a girl with the same strangely irresistible, piercing red eyes, too. And that stuff in the cooler which they were apparently offering people was definitely magical in nature. So, maybe...

Even with Layton's belief tipping toward the announcement being completely serious, it didn't really help him right now. Sid and Quaid or not, there were two gorgeous girls in outfits that didn't do much to hide their figures talking to him, focusing directly at him, and he just couldn't handle that. After what felt like an eternity of hesitation and stammering, he managed: "Uh. I-I gotta, um, eat. F-first. Really um. Hungry," and then fled the scene as fast as he could.
"Okay, catch you on the way back!" Quaid said, which didn't exactly reassure him much. He maybe also caught Sid saying something about him plotting a different route to get away from them before he got inside the kitchen door and properly out of earshot. It made him a little ashamed to admit to himself that doing so actually was his first instinct here.

While he ate a quick breakfast, Layton's mind slowly processed everything that had overwhelmed it before and came to a conclusion as to what he really wanted to do: He wanted to talk to Erwin about this. Even if it was an elaborate prank, Erwin wouldn't go out of his way to jerk Layton around—just the opposite. He could tell him whether this was for real, and maybe...help him figure out what he should do about it? But then something else clicked through his brain—Rich's text said the whole council would be girls by tomorrow. So, was Erwin...?

The easiest way to get an answer was to communicate. And, if there was one person Layton maybe didn't feel nervous around, it was Erwin. He sent off a question if the announcement was real first, and Erwin quickly replied that it was—that all five members of the council had taken that glowing potion before it went out. That they'd seen Rich change right away into the form seen in the picture.

can I talk to you about this?
The replies came:
absolutely!
you can come up to my room if you want
but uh
There was a distinct pause betwen this third text and the fourth one:
I might look pretty different!

Layton's heart raced a bit at the clear implication of this. Erwin's potion must have also already taken effect, which meant...he'd be a cute girl, too? Still—that was who he needed to talk to. He steeled himself as best he could while he cleaned up after breakfast, and then..planned a route to the stairwell that would avoid the two wolf-girls. He did feel slightly bad about that, but Quaid and Sid weren't exactly the sort whose feelings got hurt very easily at all. Maybe he'd apologize later or something, if they even remembered.

His knock on the door was characteristically soft, but Erwin could always hear it anyway. After a moment, the door opened, and a tall, curvy, drop-dead gorgeous woman was standing there looking down at him. "Morning, Layton," she said, her voice cheerful and warm—fairly high in pitch, but gentle and almost motherly, really.
"Uh. Um, E-Erwin?" He sort of squeaked out.
"Yeah. Hey," she squatted toward his level a bit. "No need to be nervous! It's just the same old Erwin, 'kay?"
"Um. S-sure." Layton was still blushing just from looking at her cute face, but he felt a bit better, less frozen right away—like her warm voice itself had thawed him.
"Great. Come on in," she said, standing back up and gesturing him to follow. He came inside to find the same room as usual, a half-finished painting in the corner.

"I was just working on that," she said, gesturing, "What do you think?"
"Uhm, It l-looks good." Erwin knew he wasn't much of an art critic, but always asked his opinion anyway.
"Thanks! I'll be sure to show you the finished product later," she said cheerfully. "Now, um..take a seat?" she offered a computer chair, sitting on her bed, and Layton shuffled over to sit across from her, bringing their eye levels reasonably close to even.

"I guess it's obvious enough what this is about, huh?" she said, to start him off.
"Um, y-yeah. I don't like, even..um."
"I know this is kinda sudden. We agreed when this whole idea was brought up to keep it a secret until a decision was made," she said, absently brushing through a bit of her ridiculously long hair with a hand. "Sorry. It's just, uh, how Rich is about this sorta thing."
"Uh. T-that's okay. I-I mean I don't think it'd be any less of a shock if I heard about it last week. A-at least I know this is, definitely for real..."
"Yeah, there is that," she said, nodding.
"S-so like, if I don't..then, I'll really get kicked out?"
"Mmh." She sort of half-nodded. "But, even if you stayed—I don't feel like you'd be too comfortable being the only guy in a whole sorority house. You don't seem like the 'harem anime' kinda guy to me."
"Uh—um..n-no, I g-guess you're right..." he mumbled, struggling to even imagine that situation.

"If you ask me, though, I think you should take it," Erwin continued.
"R-really? Um—why?" It was one thing for her to encourage him to turn into a girl so he could stay with the fraternity, but she clearly meant 'should' in a far stronger sense than that.
"Well, for one thing, you shouldn't have so much trouble talking to girls if you've been one before," she said. "It's easier to get to know someone you've got something in common with. And even if you don't stay that way for long, it'd help you figure out they're people just like you are, right?"
"Um, I-I guess so."
"Besides that, well...hmn."

She tilted her head slightly, very cutely at that, seemingly thinking up the best way to word something. "Well—you see how I look now, right?"
"Y-yeah..."
"I guess that's kinda a silly question, you haven't really taken your eyes off me since we sat down," she said cheerfully, just on the edge of teasingly. "Not that I blame you—or mind. But, think about how I looked before. I..didn't like it much," she continued. Picturing the 'old' Erwin, Layton realized that he'd never complained aloud about his looks once—but also that it wasn't hard to imagine what complaints he might have had. "And, I know..you don't really like being, well, short. Right?"
"Y-yeah.." He'd always sort of hoped that he was a very late bloomer and would get a growth spurt soon, but it just didn't seem to be happening.
"Well, Rich told me a bit more about how the potion works after I showed her my new look. It can..tend to make a person look more like how they wanna look? Being a girl aside. So, if you took it, you actually could be taller. Or, whatever else you want to be."
"Just...as a girl," he said.
"Yeah," she nodded. "But, I can promise you that from my experience so far, that's really not so bad, either."

The gears slowly turned in Layton's head. He could make himself taller...maybe even stronger, instead of scrawny. He could be...actually attractive, as a girl! Maybe it wasn't such a bad propect. It gave him another question, however. "Um..w-what about uh..?"
"Yes?"
"Well. D-do you think it could make me feel more um. Confident? Like, in general?" he said. The truth, of course, was that how he looked was secondary at best.
"Hmn. I don't know. It'd be very, very bad for a potion like that to severely alter a person's mind, possibly without their consent. But that doesn't mean it wouldn't help. It's not impossible that part of the reason you're so nervous around people is because your size makes you feel 'less' than them. So, being bigger—or, just looking more like the way you want in general, could at least be a step in the right direction, right?"
"I guess...yeah," he nodded slowly. In fact, when he was picturing himself physically 'better' a moment ago, it was more that he was imagining that self acting more confident around other people. It felt like he just couldn't imagine his present self, with the body he had, doing the same thing, and maybe that had been impeding his progress more than he realized.

"Uh...does it uh..hurt or anything?" he asked next.
"Not at all. There is some, I guess discomfort? It definitely feels weird," she concluded half-to-herself, nodding. "But..also, really good? I mean, I don't know of anyone who's complained of it being unpleasant, and..I understand several of us who've changed so far, including me, actually kinda enjoyed it." While she said this, Erwin's cheeks lit up with a bit of a blush for some reason.
"I..I think I wanna go through with it then," he said slowy. "But um..c-could you maybe, stay with me?" Despite his increasingly positive anticipation of the end result, the idea of transforming was still fairly scary. If anything, Erwin's curvy, 'motherly' look made him feel even more comforted by the idea of her presence than her original appearance might have.
"Certainly, if you want," she said, and hopped to her feet. "Okay, sit tight. I'll go get some of the potion for you."
"Uh, o-okay." Watching her leave, it was still difficult for part of his brain to believe that gorgeous girl really was the same Erwin as before. Besides the drastic shift in appearance, she seemed...just a bit happier, more energetic, and maybe even kinder than ever before, if that was possible. Well, she wasn't exactly hiding the fact that she'd liked the results of her change.

Before long, Erwin returned with a wine glass in her hand, filled about halfway up with the same pulsating liquid rainbow as the werewolf girls had offered him before. "Here you go~," she said cheerfully, offering toward him. He carefully took it, worried the whole time he was going to drop or spill it, and carefully tipped it into his mouth. It tasted sort of like a bacon cheeseburger, which was an utterly bizarre flavor for a drink to have, but the worst that did was make him wince as he swallowed it. Then he held the empty glass out and she took it back, setting it on her nightstand. "How'd it taste?"
"Uh. Weird," he half-mumbled. "So um..i-it can take a whole day to uh.."
"Supposedly," she nodded, sitting back on the bed across from him. "But I've heard plenty of people started changing almost instantly. I think it helps it come if you can get yourself to relax a little," she said. "Like being tense 'resists' it or something? I'm, not that familiar with how magic works but it makes some kinda sense, right?"
"I-I guess so." Layton wasn't entirely sure how to successfully relax, however, and so sat in an awkward silence for several seconds.

"Hey, how about this? Concentrate on how you want to look, and what you wanna do with that look," she suggested. "It might help it have the effect you want once it does start, too."
"Um, o-okay." Layton tried to imagine himself taller, stronger, and...also a pretty girl like Erwin was. Not—exactly like her, of course, but beautiful nonetheless, he hoped. It'd be nice to have a more athletic build, he thought—some muscle, and enough physical fitness and energy to do some running or play basketball or something. He'd always been so scrawny that sports of all kinds were exhausting, but people who could play them well always made it look like so much fun. His mind latched on to this mental image fairly strongly, the idea of a pretty, energetic young woman jogging or sprinting happily without running out of stream..and him being that girl. It made him feel...happy to imagine it, actually.

"Hey." Erwin's voice, an excited, breathy half-whisper, cut through the brief daydream, shaking him out of it.
"Huh?" he mumbled, looking back up at her from the floor.
"It started!"
"Uh—r-really?" She was gesturing toward his head, and it took Layton a moment to be able to perceive what she'd first noticed—in the form of his bright blonde hair tickling his forehead and cheeks as it rapidly grew longer. Soon the soft locks fell directly into his field of view, the slight weight of them touching his shoulders and crawling on down across and behind them. "Oh, w-wow.." he mumbled; he'd never had hair even halfway to his shoulders before. But, after seeing Erwin visibly enjoy hers, maybe the idea of such lovely tresses had made their way into his mental image of himself as a girl. Whether or not it really had, he was clearly going to get them anyway, as the hair tumbled unreasonbly far down his back, finally pooling an inch or two onto the computer chair by the time it was through. He caught himself running a hand through one of the locks without even thinking about it, finding its texture irresistibly soft and pleasant.

After this, Layton was struck by a curious tingling sensation that seemed to start at the center of his belly and steadily spread outward; by the time he noticed it, it had already covered most of his torso, and caused him to shudder just slightly. It seemed to progress into a sort of tensing sensation that made him involuntarily stretch, raising his shoulders and bringing his arms out a bit. This stretching did more than relieve the mounting tension, as it seemed to actually draw more size out of him, causing his perspective to start slowly rising, his arms and legs pulling themselves longer. "Aa~aah," he muttered softly, and heard his voice crack slightly in the process. "I-I'm, g-gro~owing..!" It squeaked again, but he couldn't care much less about that.
"You are!" Erwin affirmed, echoing the happiness he was starting to feel about it.
"Mm~mnhh..!" As Layton continued to stretch and squirm around in his seat, instinctively rolling his shoulders and flexing and un-flexing everything he could, he managed to sneak a look or two downward, and could easily see the increasingly drastic difference in his height from how far up his shirt's him had crawled. The balls of his feet were touching the ground now, and within a few more seconds his heels landed there too. Even so, he didn't grow the way a guy would—no broadness came to his shoulders, nor did his arms or legs thicken up at all. If anything, his increasingly exposed waist was caving inward at the sides, and his arms and legs gained just enough extra girth to take on a full, shapely, girlish appearance as they continued to grow it.

At this point Layton found himself clenching inward for a moment, almost curling into a ball with his knees raised and his arms close to hugging himself. "Mnnn~nnnhh.." The voice that came from his throat no longer sounded masculine at all, though its usually high pitch was cut with some darker, more mature highlights. Then—"Aaah!"—he popped out of the ball all at once, gaining another half-foot or so of height near-instantly, and his body seemed to settle on this as its final size. He was still a half-head or so shorter than the gorgeous girl sitting on the bed across from him, but—she was actually really tall, too, so that was fine! Layton couldn't suppress a giggle of relief that all of the tension was gone, a girlish "A~aahahah!' as his voice settled fully into its new sound. Then he became aware of one part of his body that was still..tensing, in its own way.

"O-ooh..mngh..?!" Layton felt his face suddenly flush with heat as he felt his manhood become engulfed in an intense tingly, slipping, tugging sensation. He squirmed once again in his seat, letting out soft, conflicted "Aah, aa~aah..." as it vanished steadily away. On the one hand, he realized now that he was actually going to miss the way it felt when he was in the presence of a cute girl—but on the other, its disappearance felt bizarrely amazing, enough to make him increasingly anticipate how good it'd feel when it was done, and anyway it might be fun to feel attracted to boys the same way at least for a while. He shuddered again and then giggled nervously, "H-haha, heheh..!" It felt like the conflied ended with his 'male' side's unconditional surrender, and so he gave himself in to enjoying it and anticipating womanhood. Just as soon as that happened, one last, particularly sharp tug came, drawing more heat in the cheeks and a soft "W-whoo~ooaahh...!" as Layton turned entirely into a girl. This was followed almost immediately by a soft, high, breathy "Aa~ahh...!" as she indeed got to feel the full force of this side of the fence and it lived up to her hopes completely.

She panted softly in the aftermath for just a second; her eyes had fluttered shut at some point in the last several seconds, and when she opened them she could see Erwin kind of half-looking away with what seemed to be a knowing blush. "W-wow," she mumbled absentmindedly, "that was uh, w-whoa..I mean, uh, um, aah..mm~mmnnh..." The new girl's incoherent rambling was interrupted by a gentle pushing sensation from her lower body, which seemed to cause her hips and thighs to start quickly filling themselves out. It gave her another taste of girlish pleasure as her hips and bottom spread wide and round, her thighs thickening to complete the look of her otherwise slender, overall shapely legs. At the same time, she felt cloth sliding its way up her legs, both her pants and underwear becoming much tighter than the relatively slow growth could account for—as they turned into a snug pair of boyshorts and some extremely short, bright red gym shorts.

As the feelings eased off again, Layton looked down and stared at her new figure. "W-whoaa..y-yeah..!" she said softly, happily, seeing the lovely, wide hips and slim, flat waist. "U-uhhm.." But, with her shirt mostly off of her midriff, it was easy to see how soft and smooth her belly was, which wasn't quite what she'd envisioned. "Whoa!" As if in response to this not-even-half-formed complaint, the new girl immediately felt her body's muscles suddenly tense again. But this one was very different from before, not making her feel like stretching at all but rather developing into a sort of pleasant burn, like the feeling of an intense but not injurious workout.
"Aa~ah, hff, ffhh..!" She began panting, finding the sensation almost addictively enjoyable, as strength steadily poured into her. Her arms and legs lost any remaining flab and gained some sleek, slim muscle in its place; her rapidly beating heart seemed to pump her increasingly full of energy and stamina; and that flat belly steadily carved out some solid, girly abs that ordinarily would've taken months or years of work to sculpt into place. Finally, just when the 'exercise' seemed to be easing off toward a close, Layton felt the tingling from near the start of her change reassert itself just across her still flat, boyish chest.

"Haa~aahff..t-that felt a-ma-zing!' she exclaimed. "I-I wanna..I..aa~aah..!" Once again she was cut off by girlish pleasure, as the tingling intensified into a slight forward push, and then that push progressed into a steady growth of two budding breasts. Their skin proved very sensitive all of a sudden, making her squirm and "Mm~mnh" helplessly as it sparked the fuzzy, warm feeling down between her legs just from brushing across the material of her increasingly ill-fitting t-shirt. The sensation intensified to a peak and then slowly, steadily faded off, leaving Layton with a moderately-sized pair of breasts by its end.
But, as she panted heavily once more and her mind sort of partially regained its use, the new girl knew that they weren't quite as big as she wanted. No, it'd be nice to be a little closer to Erwin's echelon of bust size—maybe not as big, but Layton definitely wanted to be busty enough to make boys stammer at her just the same way she used to at girls.
In what seemed to be, once again, a response to her unspoken request, the new girl's breasts tingled sharply again and then began to slooowly, torturously push forward, teasing her with an equally slow and steady flow of pleasure down between her legs. She squeaked helplessly, squirming in place, as she felt the material of her top move from not only this further growth but its own shifting shape: The collar and sleeves broke off, folding down under the rest to form into a bra that fit close against the growing bosom; the remaining top grew longer, just enough to trail the hem down to the top of the tight red shorts around her hips. "MmnNnn~naa~aaAAaahh...!" But, of course, with her breasts still growing, they seemed to squish into the material of the bra, fighting against its restraining force before finally forcing it to stretch and grow with them. This process repeated again and again, each time leaving the new girl with a noticeably bigger bust, and before long she couldn't even consciously register what the end result would be in terms of her appearance—she simply wanted the wonderful, fuzzy feeling it was bringing her deep inside to continue!

"Aa~aahn..heheh..haa~haha..haAAaa~ahahah.! A-aa~awhh yeeaa~aah...!" With one final, steady push, the new girl's bottom squirmed back and forth one last time across the seat of the chair as she felt the pleasure resolve into a satisfying, concluding burst, and at last her body settled itself into place, her now-enormous breasts rising and falling with her rapid panting as it gradually calmed into some deep breaths.

"Mmnh..ooh," she muttered, momentarily overwhelmed and dazed.
"You okay there?" Edwin ventured.
"Uh—um." She looked up to see Erwin's slightly worried expression. "Y-yeah. Yeah!" Pulling out of the haze seemed to cause her to suddenly feel an inward rush of happiness and energy. "Yeah, yeah, yeah!!!" The new girl excitedly stood up, the motion making her generous bust bounce and her ultra-long hair flap around. She raised her arms up over her head, stretching back and forth. "I feel great! I mean, this is like—just look at me!"

"You're absolutely gorgeous," Erwin nodded, smiling gently as she stood up too.
"Yeah! A-and I feel really strong too! And like, full of energy! Like I could run a marathon or something?" Layton's mouth seemed to want to move faster than her brain.
"You are strong," the taller girl said. "I saw that six-pack appear for myself. You wanna look in a mirror?" she offered, gesturing.
"Yeah, totally!" The blonde bombshell bounced over right away, quickly taking in her new appearance from every available angle—even lifting her tank top briefly to confirm that, indeed, her belly sported some strong, killer abs. And on top the height, the muscle, and the amazing figure, her previously-pale skin had turned gained a healthy, bronze tan all over.

After this, she turned her attention Erwin's way again. "Ooh, thank you thankyouthankyou!" Her body also moving faster than her mind, she pounced the tall, curvy woman into a hug, putting their cheeks together for a few seconds before realizing what she was doing and pulling her face back again. "W-whooa, sorry. I uh, I dunno what.."
"Hey, it's fine," Erwin said, smiling gently back—but also blushing about as much as Layton felt like she was. "Girls hug all the time, right?" She was also returning the hug one-armed, tightly enough to keep the shorter girl suspended the extra couple of inches needed to put their faces at the same height.
"Oh, uh—y-yeah!" While her brain continued trying to catch up, it was bombarded with various bits of exciting sensory information: Erwin's hand gently brushing some bright blond hair away from Layton's eye; her soft breasts squishing against the shorter girl's almost-as-big and decidedly much firmer pair, the soft material of her tights touching suddenly-bare leg skin. After a moment this assault mercifully ceased, as Erwin gently set her down and took a tiny step away, raising a hand to just rub the top of the shorter girl's head for a second.

"Well, despite what I said earlier, you certainly seem more confident," she said. "Also rather full of energy."
"Uh, yeah but um—I-I think it's kinda more the second thing," Layton admitted. "I mean I just, sorta did that without thinking, or before I could think or something. Like, I don't think I would if I'd given myself a second to think about it?"
"Well, being impulsive isn't always bad either," Erwin said. "If you didn't tell me, I might not even know the difference."
"R-really?"
"Sure. You could probably get away with just owning whatever you do on impulse, and seem very self-confident. On the other hand, that might be how you get someone like Sid."
"H-heheh..I don't think I wanna go that overboard," Layton said, twirling a finger in her hair absently. "Still, um—fake it 'till you make it, huh?"
"Sure! It could work," Erwin said.

Layton realized at this point that she was leaning back and forth on her feet, swaying around distractingly if not annoyingly. Erwin was watching her, but not commenting—much less complaining—about this behavior. "Sorry uh. I-I just feel like I'm so full of energy I'm gonna pop right now," she said. "Maybe I just need to burn it off or something. Like, I feel like I'd really enjoy going for a run all of the sudden."
"Well, go for a run then, silly," Erwin said, giggling softly (very cutely) and gesturing behind Layton toward her door. "No one's stopping you."
"Y-yeah..yeah! I can do it!" She half-turned around, then back to Erwin again, giving a much more abbreviated hug. "Thanksagain." Then she actually turned toward the door to leave.
"You're quite welcome~," Erwin said back. "Have fun!"
"I will!"

Omega Zeta Kappa 7: μ

On his way back up to his room from lunch, Tielo encountered a short, curvy catgirl in what could generously be called bedclothes in the council's third-floor residential hallway. "Heeyy..Mylar?"
"Yep!" she chirped happily. "I changed about an hour ago. Erwin's been a girl since like, right after the meeting."
"So, that just leaves me and Jeff, then?"
"Far as I know," she shrugged.
"Hm. He is the least willing, but it's a bit surprising he's held out this long."
"Yeah. If you go before him, I'll totally lose our hypothetical bet," the Neko said. "Anyway~, gonna see if Rich's got some spare threads lying around. The 'clothes-fixing' part didn't totally work for me," she said, sweeping a hand down to indicate her present state of dress.
"Alright. See you," the Kitsune nodded, continuing on to his room while the catgirl knocked on their illustrious leader's door.

Once in his own room, Tielo focused on his homework for a bit, figuring the change would interrupt him itself whenever it came. However—it never did seem to come, for a whole hour and a half or so, and he started to feel just slightly impatient to get it over with. But..impatience, stress..that just wasn't Tielo's style.

He got up, retrieved a coffee cup, and used the bathroom sink to fill it up. Then he held it between his hands, using a bit of magic to heat it steadily until the water was nearly boiling. Finally he dropped a tea bag inside, setting it down on a hotpad he kept on his desk to let it steep for a moment. Magic made everything so much more convenient, he thought, taking the handle and carefully sipping the tea before setting it back onto the hotpad. He wasn't exactly at the 'wise one' level of power, but he was certainly an unusually powerful fox for his age. Maybe—he'd been pushing back against the potion's effect a bit harder than he'd realized.

Leaning back in his rolling chair, briefly allowing his other two tails to come out into view, he took another slow drag of the tea, deliberately relaxing himself. The Kitsune leaned up to set the hot cup down again and then settled into place, closing his eyes and willing his magic to just..let go. Immediately he felt something flowing through his body, a pleasant warmth that it seemed had indeed been suppressed until now. It settled into a faint tingling across every inch of his fur, causing a soft, vulpine churring to start rumbling from his throat.

It felt as if his entire body had been very tense for a while, and now it was being made to steadily relax. Said relaxation resulted, impossibly, in his body shrinking downward and inward, his clothes falling loosely around him as he turned rapidly smaller and softer. "Mmh, mm~mmrrh..." His voice 'relaxed' too, feeling softer and warmer as its pitch slid upward into a high, gentle tenor range.

Tielo slowly opened his eyes, still feeling his head slide slowly down the back of his chair, and watched as the room continued to move upward around him, his perspective still sinking down and his suddenly too-big shirt and pants falling awkwardly across his slender frame. He took a slow, deep breath inward and let it out in another soft "Mrrr~rrrhh" as his voice lilted itself up out of masculine range, to a high, cute tone that still maintained a bit of warmth and maturity to its sound. Now he could feel his scalp tingling as light brown locks flowed out one by one a bit past his shoulders, and then he shivered a bit as the tingling spread down across his skin and took away his body hair.
The transition to womanhood was almost underwhelming at first. Tielo simply realized at this point that his manhood had shrunk quite a bit, even more than the rest of his body had—and then with a mild tugging sensation and a cute "Mnh..a~ah..rrf!"—it was gone. But
then, the Kitsune's face flushed, burning as hot as her tea as she shivered again, not from tingling but a very particular, fuzzy sensation down there.

"Hmm~mmnnh..." Tielo felt so soft, and warm, and nice...she thought, I could get used to this. But in a way, it felt as if she already was. Her hips now gently puffed out, gaining just enough size to form the lower third of a slim, petite figure, and then her chest puffed forward, drawing a soft "Y-yip!" from her lips as her breasts slid out against the cloth of the enormous (to her, now) shirt. Swiftly she gained some moderately-sized breasts, big enough to match her small, petite figure and make her maturity apparent, but small enough to not be particularly in the way of anything.

Finally, the Kitsune felt her clothes move around on her; she picked herself off of her seat just slightly to avoid impeding that motion. Her boxers shrank into a pair of tiny boyshorts; her t-shirt split into a long-sleeved, bright-colored robe, a somewhat tighter shirt with a collar and a black ribbon tied beneath that, and a bra which cradled her new bust perfectly below that. And—just like that—the change was all done, and Tielo was left feeling soft, cute, and even more relaxed than ever before.

"Mrr~rrh...how nice," she mumbled to herself, letting her tails swish around behind her. After leaning forward to take another sip of tea, she stood and shuffled over to her bathroom mirror to get a better look at herself. Her face was round and cute, still blushing faintly and framed by loose, soft locks of light brown hair that feel just a bit past her shoulders all around. The shirt just barely trailed down to her upper thighs, while the robe went a few inches farther; neither one did a thing to hide her slim, soft legs from view. The robe's sleeves were a bit loose and long on her arms, making it easy to hide her slim, delicate fingers under the hem.
She was...maybe even shorter than Mylar now, but being so small didn't feel problematic at all. Rather, the fox-girl felt light and agile, like her natural instincts and physical prowess (not including strength) had actually been enhanced a bit by the transformation. She couldn't help but grin back at the mirror, softly churring again as she thought of how easy it'd be to get people to underestimate such a small, slim form...and then take advantage of that to pull all sorts of tricks on them! "Heheheh..!" This was followed by a cute, deceptively innocent-sounding giggle.

Tielo's brief reverie was interrupted by a knock on the door at this point, making her and both her ears stand upright at once. She composed herself quickly enough, hiding two of her tails and turning and striding back through the bedroom, picking up her tea on the way while wondering who it could be. After all, she..hadn't exactly been paying attention to the sound of people walking around out in the hall.
Before she reached the door, the visitor spoke. "Uhh, hey." It was...Mars! Took her a second to recognize the voice she'd only briefly heard in the dining room a couple of hours ago. "You busy?"
Tielo could feel her cheeks warming up just...a little...bit, as she thought about the cute, bright-furred fox-girl the prodigy had turned into. After taking a quick sip of tea to calm herself, she swept the door open to greet her.

"A-afternoon, Mars," she said about as casually as she could manage. "Ahh, not particularly, though—I
did just experience the effects of that potion for myself." After the door opened, Mars had slowly turned her head from up where Tielo's eye level had been as a guy down to...her present one, which was around the other fox-girl's chin.
"Uh..I see," she mumbled, her own face gaining a tiny bit of red. "Uh—anyway, I finished grinding for the day. Thought I might ask about the uh..this stuff." Mars twirled a finger around her right ear briefly to indicate which 'stuff' she meant. "I mean, if that's okay..."

For as casual as she was trying to act, Tielo knew this was a bit out of character for her. Her phone was—not even in her hands, maybe stowed away in one of the pockets of her sweater, or maybe even sitting back in her dorm room! That wasn't to say that this could be expected to be a permanent change in behavior, but even focusing her pretty eyes on something other than a phone for a little while was still a pretty momentous decision by all accounts. Tielo felt...rather lucky that that 'something' was her!
"Certainly," she said smoothly, not missing a beat—but her pesky cheeks still stayed a bit warm. "Come on in, and I can start on the basics for ya.." she leaned out of the way, pushing the door open behind her, and gestured for the taller Kitsune to enter.
